In this package, you arrive in Williams the night before your train trip. Check in at the Hotel after 3:00 pm, located across from the train depot. The facility is a three-star hotel. It features an indoor pool and spa, workout room, and a lounge with a storied history.
That evening, have dinner at the Restaurant. The restaurant is located across from the hotel next to the depot. You'll find traditional American fare including an expansive buffet. There is also a gift shop full of Grand Canyon memories.
Enjoy the evening in rustic Williams. Take a stroll down Route 66, just two blocks south of the depot. Enjoy the fresh, mountain air because you're at 6,800 feet elevation.
The next morning, wake up, and have a great breakfast at the Restaurant. Keep your eyes open because a gang of gunfighters has been known to frequent the restaurant in the morning. After breakfast, it's time for an old-fashioned showdown between the gang and the Marshal. Be sure to check out the entertainment to the east of the train depot.
All aboard! The train departs Williams at 9:30 am for the Grand Canyon. You'll travel the same 65-mile rail line that passengers first did more than a century ago. Enjoy the scenery as the elevation changes during the 2 hour and 15 minute trip. You'll arrive at the South Rim.
Once you de-board, your bags will be transferred to your hotel room at the Maswik Lodge. You'll then have approximately 27 hours to enjoy Grand Canyon National Park. There are many activities. You'll arrive at the Grand Canyon Depot in the heart of historic Grand Canyon Village. Most of the buildings that grace the South Rim were built by the railroad, including the El Tovar Hotel, built in 1905. Along the rim, you'll find historic sites, places to eat and shop, and of course, some of the most breathtaking views you'll ever see. Enjoy the evening and a Grand Canyon sunset. Included in your Canyon package is a complimentary tour of the canyon rim. You may order an optional Add-On to include a buffet lunch with the rim tour.
PLEASE NOTE: On occasion, the rim tours sell out. If you request a rim tour and it is unavailable for that date, you will be contacted with that information and a partial refund of your order will be made due to the rim tour not being available.
The following afternoon, the Grand Canyon Train departs the Grand Canyon Depot at 3:30 pm on its way back to Williams. Relax in the comfort of your train car after experiencing the Grand Canyon. Watch out, because the train does get robbed every day on the return to Williams. The train pulls back into Williams Depot after 2 hours and 15 minutes. Enjoy dinner at Max & Thelma's, a short distance from the train platform. Then adjourn for the evening in the comforts of the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel.
On day 4, wake up and have a great breakfast at the restaurant. Then it's off to your next destination.
The Hotel is located next to the train depot and the Restaurant in the heart of downtown Williams, Arizona. The hotel was originally a Harvey House Hotel in the early 20th Century. Amenities include an indoor pool and hot tub and an exercise room. Each of the 288 rooms are furnished with two Queen beds. All rooms are non-smoking. No more than 4 adults and 5 total persons may stay in a single room.

The Grand Canyon Train departs Williams, Arizona every morning. We suggest you arrive by 8 am for breakfast at the restaurant and so you will have time to look around the beautiful old depot and see the gunfight show that takes place a half hour before boarding time.
It's a relaxing 2 hour 15 minute train ride to the Grand Canyon. You'll enjoy the scenery, the information provided by your passenger services attendant, and the on-train entertainment (fiddlers, guitarists, and gunfighters provide some of the entertainment you may see in your car).
At the Canyon, you will receive a tour of the canyon rim - and, if ordered at additional cost, a buffet lunch.
Be sure to be back at the depot in time to board the train for the return to Williams on the day of your departure from the Grand Canyon as there is only one train each day. There's even more entertainment on the return trip. The train reaches Williams after 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Each train engine and each train car has been painstakingly restored to its original state by a staff of mechanics who see their work as more a labor of love than a job. On the train, your crew is no less enthusiastic. Each is bursting with local and Grand Canyon folklore and history, as well as Grand Canyon Train knowledge. Strolling musicians catch you up with what was hot way back when. And there's even fun recreations of an old fashioned shoot out and a train robbery.
Wheelchair lifts are available for Coach Class and First Class only. Wheelchairs must be 25 inches or less in width to use the lifts. If a person is wheelchair-bound, they may only sit in their chair in either Coach Class or First Class. If a person can step aboard the train and walk to a seat in any class (age restrictions apply in Observation Dome and Luxury Parlor Car), a fold-up wheelchair can be stored in the vestibule between cars on the train.
The train departs Williams daily at 9:30 am. The train arrives at the Grand Canyon after the 2 hour 15 minute trip. The train departs the Grand Canyon at 3:30 pm daily. The return train trip is 2 hours 15 minutes.
This rate includes all train tax, hotel tax, food tax, fees, round-trip train fare, admission to Grand Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon shuttle bus transportation, two hotel room nights in Williams, one hotel room night at the Grand Canyon, complimentary tour of the canyon rim, two breakfasts and two dinners for each guest. There is an option to add on a buffet lunch to the rim tour. All pricing is based on one room and with the specific itinerary described. No more than 4 adults and 5 total persons may stay in a single room. Any requested changes to the specific noted itinerary will require "a la carte" pricing which will almost always be higher; you will be contacted with a price quote if you make any change request.
